About
NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) is the commercial arm of the Department of Space (DoS), created to leverage R&D activities of ISRO.
NSIL also manages satellite-based services — leasing INSAT/GSAT transponders and selling remote-sensing data — and builds satellite subsystems via ISRO tech transfer. Contracted to launch OneWeb's satellites (36 in 2022; 36 in 2023). Signed MOUs with Arianespace for hybrid Ariane-6 / LVM3 launch services.
